Okay everyone, I know this is a tough subject, but it needs to be talked about.  What happens if you die tomorrow?  Is there anyone you care about in your life who would suffer financially as a result?  Well then you guessed it, you need life insurance.

If you’re the main BREADWINNER in the family, then you certainly should have life insurance.  If you die, your life insurance will act as income replacement for your family.  They will be able to continue to pay for everyday expenses.  I suggest getting a term policy for those who are employed and have a family.  It’s the cheapest form of insurance and can cover you during your working years.

If you’re DIVORCED and you rely on support payments from your spouse, well then you should get a policy out on the one paying the bills.  If something happens to your ex, then who’s going to continue to pay your alimony check?  I suggest a term life plan for a period up to when those payments are supposed to stop.

Do you have a spouse that’s a STAY AT HOME PARENT?  You’re going to want a policy on the person who stays at home and takes care of the kiddos.  Life insurance can cover the cost of paying for daycare.  This is a cost you currently don’t have because your spouse does it for free.  Well, what if they aren’t around to help you do your job worry and kid free?

Are you a BUSINESS OWNER?   If you have a partner, you are probably going to want a buy-sell agreement with that partner of yours.  This will transfer your side of the business over to them in a nice easy transition.  It will leave your family out of it so they don’t have to worry.  Term and Whole life will also be good here.  A nice big check from the insurance company will help your heirs pay off estate taxes, business debts, etc.

The odds are pretty good that you are going to die one of these days.  At the very least you should get final expense insurance to pay off your FUNERAL.  Don’t leave your family in debt for paying for your funeral.  They have enough to worry about now that you are gone.

It’s not too expensive people.  Just take a few minutes today and look into how you can give financial security to those who you care about most in this world.  Is there a better gift than that?
